Fluid Power SME's strength is in our ability to take on and resolve difficult control and application challenges. We have the skills and expertise to develop unique and robust hydraulic and pneumatic solutions from the most basic open circuit configurations using fixed displacement pumps and through center valving to complex pre and post compensated load sensing systems, closed circuit hydrostatic drives and sophisticated closed loop electro-hydraulic and electro-pneumatic motion control. Our systematic approach to design considers the performance and reliability of the whole  machine, not just it's individual parts.

Our specialties include:

  • Electro-hydraulic and pneumatic servo and proportional circuit design for position/velocity/force-pressure control.

  • Integration of electronic devices for actuator control, including feedback and diagnostics.

  • Manifold design and layout in two and three-dimensional environments, as well as the creation of machining detail and assembly drawings and test procedures.

  • Interpretation and implementation of ISO/SAE/NFPA/ANSI/ASME/ASTM fluid power standards.

  • Safe system design per ISO 4413 (hydraulic) and ISO 4414 (pneumatic).

  • Energy efficient system design per ISO/TR 22164 (hydraulic) and ISO/TR 22165 (pneumatic).

  • Failure Mode and Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) per IEC 60812 using software driven, systematic analysis of hydraulic and pneumatic component failure modes, their effects and consequence.

  • Efficiency and throughput improvements for under performing systems.

  • Component specification, selection, sourcing and supplier qualification.

  • Technical drafting including the interpretation and application of ANSI Y14.5M.
